WIN WIN WIN! - FREE Giveaways and Life Goals with The Body Jewellery Shop* | Style & Life

So why a free giveaway you ask?

One of the goals I set for myself at the end of 2017 was to make a comeback to the blogging industry after being AWOL for just over a year. I'm really proud to say in November 2017 I did just that!.. But it hasn't come without its challenges.

Writing blogs has been a passion of mine for 8 years, starting off with a humble uni blog where I realised my passion for writing and its fulfilment of artistic expression, to then my move onto Wordpress where Thoughts of a Shell was born! And finally on to Blogger 4 years ago. Not to mention my work as a writer for other online magazines including Flamingo, Sumarie and acting Art Editor for Vulture HoundSo yeah, some might say I've been around for maybe just a short stint đŸ˜‰

So with that in mind, you can image how leaving any kind of passion/fulfilment/expression/or almost therapy thats been with you a quarter of your lifetime behind, whether it be a sport/career/life long dream/personal blog is really, really hard, and becomes like a treasured belonging that you miss-placed and disconnected with.

I don't want this post to become melancholy with all the feels, (especially as it features some pretty cute products!) but reinvesting my time and effort to refind my feet, my voice and connect with my treasured belonging, and pick up where I left off with something that used to grow alongside me over a year down the line as now (I think) a different more evolved person has been pretty tough. So I am so so happy to all the readers that stuck it out, and all my new readers that have now joined my little community. It really does mean a lot to me to reconnect with people that enjoy my content and share my passions.

So that said and feels over, to celebrate my 2K milestone on Instagram (its so strange to even say that), I've spoken with the lovely people at The Body Jewellery Shop to give 2 lucky readers the chance to WIN £15 worth of products each!

Who are The Body Jewellery Shop?

The Body Jewellery Shop is an online retail store delivering anything you can image when it comes to body jewellery for men and women, and when I say Body Jewellery, you don't have to be into serious body modification to enjoy products in their store, as there are a host of non-piercing, earrings and ear vines/ear climbers to choose from.

As I've reviewed ball closure jewellery from The Body Jewellery Shop before and subsequently couldn't stop wearing them, I knew what high standard they worked towards (and also how quick their delivery was, I'm talking crazy fast), but I'd never really looked at their rose gold range or their HUGE range of ear vines which are now all the rage on the red carpet, so I thought I'd give them a shot.

All 3 products I trialled were beautiful, high quality, with a stunning matching rose gold finish, all dainty but daring which really suited my style.
Here I've shown how you can easily use an ear vine if you don't have pierced ears by hooking round the earlobe and pinching the clasp for the same effect as if it was pierced. The other piercing based products pictured were also easy to use with no hiccups whatsoever.
I'd really recommend anything from the rose gold range, which can easily be worn transitioning from hectic day in the office to night on the tiles on a Friday (I'm already eyeing up my next set of vines for the summer time!).

My 'Cannot Go Without' 3 Step Guide to Port de Pollença, Majorca | Secret Travels

I absolutely LOVE Majorca and Spain generally, I never get bored of it when I visit. It has the perfect mix of rich cultural history, breathtaking landscape, great weather and a wholly relaxed vibe that's always felt like my home away from home.

Last May I visited Port de Pollença, a northern town in Majorca surrounded by mountainous landscape, pretty coves and small cobbled streets. It has the perfect mix of boutique shopping, beautiful Spanish food, sea and cosy beach areas alongside the great outdoors. So if you're looking for a quiet place to get away and relax this Spring when Europe starts to get a tad warmer, then hopefully my little compilation of must see's sways you into taking a trip to this beautiful little island.

The January Blues Bottomless Brunch that won't let you down | Galvin at The Athenaeum Hotel | OOTD & Secret Eats

Feeling the January Blues? You know the ones with the 5am starts lugging yourself back in the gym full of potatoes and cake post Christmas, then into the office with a slightly sad looking salad surrounded by overwhelming amounts of brand new projects and that un-shakeable tiredness that chains itself to your eyelids, to then be finally greeted by the weekend.. filled with laundry and dirty pans up to the eyeballs. Yeah, thought you recognised it.

So as much as people are head first into diets and dry January, if you are in the mood for treating yourself and manage to step away from that ever growing pile of laundry and pans to spend some time with your loved one, then look no further!

3 Stressless Holiday Tips I'll never do Christmas without | Life & Opinion

As I've already said in posts previous to this one, Christmas can be quite an unnecessarily stressful holiday. From finding the time and inclination to wrap loads of gifts, to worrying whether you're getting the right ones, to getting all the right food components ready and then rushing around hosting all the family and having to complete 8 dishwasher loads before you can even contemplate about going to bed (and don't get me started on those slowly leering January Blues). Its easy to say that for some, especially the hosts, it can all get a little too much.

So although it might be a little early (considering its all but 11 months away), I wanted to share 3 tips I'm taking with me to Christmas 2018 that my family and I did this year that took the pressure out of the holidays.
